Normally the Mayfly hatch excites anglers, since fish feed on the insects and their abundance often leads to fantastic fishing action. However, when a hatch turns into a horde, something is crazily wrong. Imagine so many bugs that they show up on radar?

That’s what happened on the Minnesota-Wisconsin border, when a summer mayfly hatch overwhelmed the region and was the suspected cause of a three-car crash that resulted in the hospitalization of one driver.
