There is no known cure for buck fever. Heck, there’s not even a guarantee that you’ll ever experience it. But many hunters do have a hard time staying cool under pressure when deer hunting.

I’ll admit it — every time I see a deer in the woods, my heart beats a little faster. And that’s a good thing. What isn’t so good is when it a hunter completely loses it and cannot make the shot.

My driver’s education instructor taught me that people tend to steer where they are looking. Obviously, it could be pretty dangerous to stare at an oncoming car instead of the lane you are in.
