Some hunters have a hard time with caping out a deer.

It’s important to be able to do this if you intend on keep the hide for taxidermist purposes, and if you’re away from civilization when you harvest your buck.

One of the trickiest parts to caping out a deer is working around the ears and eyes. In this video, pro taxidermist Marty Davison walks you though the steps. We’ll be bringing you another video very soon helping you work around the mouth and nose of a deer during the caping process.

If you haven’t done so all already, go back and watch the video showing the initial incision that Griffin’s Guide shared with you.
