If you’re an avid angler, you go out and fish, regardless of the conditions. You don’t expect something great to happen, but time on the water is always valuable. You observe the conditions and maybe you learn something new. When you don’t have high expectations, you try different things… a new technique, a new way to rig up, maybe a different lure.
Other times, the fishing gods reward you for going out and something magical happens. Angler Andrew Benak was out prefishing for a tournament when he enjoyed one of those magical moments. It didn’t start out that way. Conditions were lousy, but he made the best of it. Get the full story from Kayak Angler after watching first-hand what happened.
