Jump Arrow Speed Without Increasing Draw Weight

360

Most tweaks to archery gear may boost arrow speed from one to five feet per second, yet the new Equalizer release can boost your zip as much as 10% — that’s going from 300 to 330 fps. Usually a premium bow is required to get this type of performance. Here’s how it works: The speed (and trajectory) of your arrow is directly related to stored energy. The longer your draw length, the more energy you store and release. A person of average build with average arm length will have a draw length of 27—29 inches. By using this new release, you can extend the draw length from one to three inches and more stored energy means a faster arrow… a lot faster. Here’s the scoop from the company that makes it:

Illinois Deer 08 082The Equalizer Archery Release Aid from Goat Tuff Products offers archers the opportunity of increasing arrow speed without having to increase draw weight. This revolutionary new design accomplishes this by letting the archer increase draw length by up to 3”. This increase in draw length produces a tremendous increase in performance and arrow speed.  For 2013 the Equalizer Release Aid comes with a new Length Adjustment feature that allows perfect placement of the Release Head in the hand. The Length Adjustment feature is made of 60/61 Aircraft Aluminum and secured with a locator lock down screw. Once the optimal position of the Release Head is achieved, a few turns of the lock down screw secures it in place.
