Areas with fresh-cut timber are well known for being whitetail hot spots. But, as Carter Evans describes here, clear cuts also provide everything a turkey loves.

“A lot of times when you find a big block of timber, there’s not a lot of areas where he likes to go and strut. So they naturally move to these clear cuts to get out here and strut and show their dominance or whatnot in the early spring.”
